About me

I am blessed to be a wife to a wonderful husband that can fix, build or put together anything. Not only is he the handiest of all men but he is the best dad a kid could ask for! Being a mom to such a sweet and silly toddler has been the biggest blessing and challenge. She teaches me patience and shows me the joy and curiosity in the little things of life. And now we have a beautiful new baby in our life, Reina. She is the perfect addition to our little family.

Out talker is going to be a walker...

The last month has flown by and Lexi has become quite a little person with a really funny happy personality. The most exciting news was her 1st steps this week. On one hand we would love her to stay out little crawling baby forever but on the other it is super difficult to take her places that are not crawling friendly because all she wants to do is be free and not restrained by a stroller or our arms. Everyone tells me that once they walk its over and we will hate having to chase after her but I am looking forward to it and I know she is as well :)
In other news....

I got a plastic box to store our overwhelming amount of photos that have no organization to them but somehow it turned into Lexi's favorite toy. She sits in the box, pushes the box, puts her toys in it and goes for rides in it (us pushing her around). It has provided endless hours of entertainment, eventually the photos will get a home.

The month of September and October our life revolved around Sarah and Grants NEVER ENDING car shopping. The only good part was us being able to spend lots of time with lils while they were test driving (read: test driving the same car 19 times). Lils and Lex had a blast hanging out. They love playing together and getting super dirty so one night we rolled it all into one...1st they did sidewalk chalk and painted the driveway (lexi loved "painting" lily and benson) then they moved on to digging up the front yard planter. Frank didn't know I was allowing this but it wasn't their fault the sandbox wasn't finished and they wanted to dig. It became quite a mess so after they went straight to the bath which they both love!

Well sometime around early September she decided she wasn't ready to walk on her own but loves to stand while holding on to something and climb into/onto  everything she can. We find her in such funny places.  Her absolute favorite place is at the fireplace, Frank really hates her playing there but I think its pretty cute to watch and hear her bang on the glass while talking to herself. Grandma Sharon (confusing cause there's two-franks mom) sent this pumpkin. She loves playing and standing in it.

Sarah was over a few weeks ago and we were talking in the living room, I went into the kitchen and found Lexi in the dishwasher. She "helped" me unload the clean dishes until a plate was a little too heavy and she dropped it and it shattered. Oh well, she's learning how to do her future chores cause i really HATE unloading the dishwasher and look forward to passing on that task.

Her climbing has reached an all time high. Look away for a second and she will be on top of any surface she can get her foot up and over. She loves to climb up to the hose and hold on to the spicket (sp?). Its a dangerous game for many reasons, one being its Bensons favorite place to poop and they blend in with all the bark that is up on that ledge. Its also Franks newest project area for the backyard so its a loose brick disaster and not a good climbing area but she loves the rough terrain she has to scale to reach her destination.
Well finally to the end and most exciting. Bob the builder (better known as frank) built Lex a sandbox. She loves playing in the sand and Lily has an awesome sandbox at her house so frank decided to build one for Lex. As usual he is amazing and built it within about a week and she loves it. He is in the process of turning our backyard into an amazing kid friendly play area. We cant wait until its complete!

Stay tuned for post Halloween pictures! We have attended a lot of fall festivals and our little ladybug is          cute as can be!
