About me

I am blessed to be a wife to a wonderful husband that can fix, build or put together anything. Not only is he the handiest of all men but he is the best dad a kid could ask for! Being a mom to such a sweet and silly toddler has been the biggest blessing and challenge. She teaches me patience and shows me the joy and curiosity in the little things of life. And now we have a beautiful new baby in our life, Reina. She is the perfect addition to our little family.

It's been a month, what has happened?!

Since my last post we have had a busy month so here is a quick recap of what Lexi has been up to...
Some of the most exciting changes is her vocabulary, there is nothing cuter than hearing her yell "mama" from the other room and not stopping until i yell back. She goes from having a soft little sweet voice to a loud toddler voice within a matter of seconds that always cracks me up. How quickly she is changing...
By far her absolute favorite "word" is "Uh-oh". She most often says it in the right context, specifically throwing food off her tray (which is her most recent obsession that i could live without). But sometimes she spends the entire day saying "Uh-oh", pretty entertaining.
No matter how much she seems grown up and turning into a toddler day by day she still just as quickly reverts back to my little tiny baby and sucks her thumb. Her newest thumb sucking affinity is while laying on the floor and playing with my big toe nail, super random but as soon as she touches my toe nail she starts sucking her thumb. Hilarious! I will make an effort to get a picture of it soon.

Her cousin Lily gave her this shovel for her birthday and some days she wants to carry it around the house and make it part of every activity...doesn't always work out to be easy.

Jessi and Isaac gave her this walker toy for her birthday as well which she loves pushing around the house and since shes not yet walking its great practice but sometimes she gains too much speed and hasn't learned how to put the brakes on :)

She definitely spent half of the summer in the pool, bath tub, beach or bay. She LOVES the water!

We went to the zoo a few weeks ago and Lily wanted her two daddy's to hold her hand, they didn't find it as funny as Sarah and I...

Every time I see this picture I am in shock of how quickly she has grown up and while I love watching her learn and grow I would love to freeze her in this moment and not let go.

More water time with Wilder, I love his rolls!!

A day at the park with Joel, such cuties!

And at the end of a long day and busy summer there is nothing better than watching Lexi and Millie hang out in the window together and read books. Of course Millie chose "Good Dog Carl", luckily Lexi is happy to read her any book just as long as they are together...
