About me

I am blessed to be a wife to a wonderful husband that can fix, build or put together anything. Not only is he the handiest of all men but he is the best dad a kid could ask for! Being a mom to such a sweet and silly toddler has been the biggest blessing and challenge. She teaches me patience and shows me the joy and curiosity in the little things of life. And now we have a beautiful new baby in our life, Reina. She is the perfect addition to our little family.

1 year, Already?!

August 20th was Lexi's one year birthday. I was hoping to squeeze and shower her with hundreds of kisses at 742am but she decided to sleep until 810am that morning.
The day started with her first taste of Franks homemade waffles...

We then went to celebrate her little friend Natalies 1 year birthday as well, kind of funny to go to someone elses birthday party on her actual birthday. That's what our future holds since their birthdays are one day apart. Its been fun to watch them turn into little people together.
Lexi loved playing and crawling around the whole time....She definitely was not in the mood to be cooped up inside, it was a great party at The Old Hamburger Factory.

That evening we went to celebrate her birthday at the Old Spaghetti Factory(we didn't intend to spend the day going to "Old" restaurants but funny it worked out that way). Poor thing was not in the mood to be inside at all so we spend the entire meal taking turns walking with her outside. We managed to get a few pictures of her eating her cupcake and opening some presents...

Such an amazing year it has been, I still can't believe how much our life has changed. Everyone always says your life is not your own anymore and man that is soooo true! We wouldn't change a minute of it because every minute we spend with her brings such amazing memories and lots of laughs.

Things we love about you right now and want to remember:
-Your version of kisses is awesome, you lean in with your mouth open and tongue sticking out going in for a slurp
-Your high pitch shriek every time you start to crawl
-You finally take naps in your crib and they are almost always longer than 30 minutes!
-You finally almost sleep through the night!
-Your love of all things water;beach.bay, bath, and pool
-You love to play peek a boo around the couch, you squeal with joy as we chase after you
-You love to put shoes on, nothing is cuter than watching you grab a shoe and hold it up to your foot trying to put it on

                                                              We love you so much!

"Please leave us a message"

Pretty much any time Lexi starts to crawl down the hallway you know where she is headed...to check the messages. She would spend countless hours standing and pushing buttons on the answering machine.

Her two favorite buttons to push are the volume button and the "page" button that makes both cordless phones beep really loud until you find them and turn it off. (that game gets old real fast, especially when you cant find the phone but can hear it!)

The funniest part is if you leave her in there by herself for a few minutes and then walk in and say something she jumps and drops the phone and gives you a look like, "i'm not doing anything".
So dang cute....

If you could see the look on her face in the pic above you would die laughing, such joy at the discovery of the page button. Look closely and you can see her open mouth indicating a huge squeal of delight.

Who me? I'm not doing anything I am not supposed too....
